The name above belongs to a man who is a whistleblower. More specific he was an IT-genius, born in 1983. He once told the world about what the NSA (National Security Agent) was doing. After this, he had to leave the U.S and is now living in Russia.

When miners went on strike in 2014, their income was raised by a little more than a pound a day. Some years after, their income is still the same, and the conditions in the mines have changed significantly.  

The standing rock in North-Dakota

In autumn 2016, some Native Americans protested against the "North Dakota Pipeline". They were afraid they would not get clean water because of this problem. The consequences of them not having clean water could be brutal. After this the NDP respected them and did not build pipes. It's today known by the hastag #NODAPL. The pipeline was going to be over 1000 miles long, stretching from the Northern states to Mississippi.

How to be a good citizen

In this blogpost I will be writing down my opinions on how ways of being a good citizen.

The number one most important way of being a good citizen is to have a goal in life that will help the world. It could be anything, as long as it only is good. It could be for example fighting for a better government, or doing a job. Anything, because just being part of the community around you makes you a better citizen. Some other important things to do is to help people who need help. even if you do not know the person your helping. It could be helping in any way, like changing their tire or even just having a talk with the person making their day a little better.

Leonardo DiCaprio

A great example of a good citizen is Leonardo di Caprio. He made many people rethink how they act in their normal day because he fought for climate change. People that have watched his documentary probably got strong feelings about it, and might change the way they live. What he accomplished is great, because he helps the world becoming a better place by making people aware of what is happening to the earth. 

Volunteering

Its even just these small thing that people barely even notice that can make a big change. Like doing volunteering, it could even be any kind of volunteering. That includes helping people for free, which is a great thing to do. That makes you a better citizen, by being a part of the society.

Thoughts about the documentary

I think that the documentary is a documentary that covers all the important parts of the global warming theme. Something else that is a good side of the documentary is that it convinces people to believe in global warming. I myself believe and I'm almost 100% sure that global warming is a thing, after everything I have heard. The main person in the documentary (Leonardo di Caprio) was an exelent speaker and probably convinced a lot of people to believe that climate change is a thing.

The thing that actually makes me really angry is that there are still some people that refuse to open their eyes for global warming. Even after everything they have heard, they refuse to believe in it for some weird, egoistic reasons. Lets look at Trump for example. He refuses to believe in global warming, in order for him to get enough votes so he can become president. That is so selfish and egoistic to use the health of the earth for his own good. 

You may think what you want, I don't care but I and many other people ask you to do something about climate change. Even the smallest thing would help. Like eat chincken instead of beef. If everyone would do that, most of the problems would be fixed! Something else that is way important, that many people probably dont even think about is throwing trash into the nature! Please dont, everything that gets thrown in the nature will eventually end up in the ocean! And then after many years end up (by water flows) end up in the great island of micro plastic in the north pacific ocean. So next time you buy a gum, and cant manage to spot a trash can in less than five seconds, please dont thow it by purpose into the nature, its just not good.
